The good and the bad - solar GPS for wildlife research

Wildlife GPS tracking devices need efficent power supplies to maintain their status as micro GPS. Using solar power to supply the battery can achieve this.

Battery life performance under different conditions
Solar panel battery charging with 2 hours of exposure versus 4 hours of exposure per day... under different weather conditions.
GPS postioning attempts were held constant at 4 GPS attempts per day both with GPS A and GPS B.
