    4000ER base station, 12V power with solar, set it and forget it

    For projects that can mount a 4000ER base station at a vantage point higher than the surrounding landscape your 4000ER base station can collect GPS data from your GPS collars automatically and for an extended period of time. The 4000ER base station is made to operate either on its own internal, rechargeable battery or from an external 12V battery charging from a solar panel.

    A Chilean group needed a 20 gram GPS collar for a chinchilla project. Generally that is not a problem at all. But they needed long battery life and a VHF transmitter. We used the FLR V GPS data logger as the basis for this order.
