Power choice independent GPS batteries-standard (all products)

Independent GPS Battery-Imagine if a GPS device, a drop off mechanism and a VHF transmitter in a tracking package all shared a single battery and that battery stops working prematurely.  That is not going to be pleasant.  When Telemetry Solutions started making GPS collars we decided right at the start that we would use separate batteries for all functions.  Obviously there are downsides but the increased reliability tends to make up for them.  In special cases we do use just a single battery to power everything but these applications are few and far between.
