Feral Cat GPS

Was this product responsible for a $1M AUD donation? Yes.

Eventually one of our clients approached us asking for an Iridium GPS collar that was light enough to put on a feral cat, he said we could go up to 135 grams.  But we could not do that.  And he kept asking.  So in 2017, during December, we approached the new design with the attitude that we need to save every gram we can.  And we found a way.  I asked if we could eliminate the VHF transmitter from the collar, that would save at least 6 grams, but the customer said no.

Regardless, we still managed and they placed a substantial order. If you would like to read about the results they got with that equipment, please click on the button below.

The Perfect Feral Cat Collar - Right in Our Wheelhouse

82 grams, that’s the weight for the feral cat GPS collar that has gained popularity with most of our clients that work with feral cats. The GPS itself is a workhorse, it is the fourth iteration of a product that we introduced in 2009.  Each time we update the product, we make incremental improvements, we don’t throw the baby out with the bathwater and start from scratch.  For you, this means continuously improved reliability and predictability.

It matters who makes your equipment and the stability of that company’s production team is relevant.  Since 1999, the Telemetry Solutions production department has been headed up by one individual.  She makes sure everything is done according to the production instructions.  If you would like to read about a project that recently used this product, please click on the button below.
