This is a selectable Nano GPS option that enables accelerometer data sampling before and after each timed GPS position fix. 1 Hz sampling is done with a 2–30-sample configurable window before and after the GPS event. The Accelerometer data collected are buffered in the memory along with the GPS position and remotely transmitted. This provides contextual motion information around location updates that are useful for movement pattern detection and device state classification.
