Absolutely it can.  But not always, you need to do some field testing to find out.  This fact was discovered by a feral cat researcher in Australia.  One day he contacted me to ask if he was correct and I told him that he was and we don’t advertise this because of how contradicts our user software’s battery life estimator.  But that is all worth with good reason.
