Remote Activity Reporting
In addition to GPS, temperature, and other sensor data, our system can provide Total Energy Reports based on information collected by the onboard accelerometer. Accelerometer data are sampled at 1 Hz, then averaged over one-minute and stored as a single numerical value—minute by minute, throughout the day.
For remote transmission, these data are sent in batches of 15 reports. Using our software, you can easily export the reports as a .csv file for further analysis.
Total Energy Reports have no impact on estimated battery life—the energy used to collect and transmit this data is negligible and already accounted for in our battery life projections.

Minute by minute activity
The activity reports contain, date, time and a total energy value, for every minute of the day. These reports, transmitted remotely either by UHF long-range or by Iridium, are available for download from our user software, and in the case of Iridium, our password protected Iridium online database.

Frequently Asked Questions
Here are the three most commonly asked questions but please do not hesitate to reach out to us at your convenience.
This depends on several factors including the battery technology, the temperature during the study, the capacity of the battery, the amount of current required by the GPS, the habitat, the GPS schedule and much more.
All of our products can send you information by satellite. The range of the data download varies depending upon conditions. The radio portion of the download has been demonstrated to work up to 40 km., but this is maximum under ideal conditions.
If we (you and us) discuss everything during the sales process then we will know how to optimize the accessibility of your GPS data.
